General
Yes! We have one open level trip and one intermediate level trip.
Please view the trip page in question for the full description or the trip and the requirements. We want to make sure that everyone is able to fully enjoy the mix of hiking and acro and is safe. This is why we ask you to fulfil some prerequisites before some of our trips.
If you don’t meet them (yet), get in touch with us and we will guide you towards acro teachers and groups in your area. With a little bit of luck you can up your game in time and join us!
No, you don’t need an acro partner to join. We will will try to have an equal number of participants.
That being said, keep in mind that partner acrobatics is a partner activity. Having a regular training partner will always help in training connecting, timing, etc
Generally speaking AcroVentures aren’t any more dangerous than your normal acro workshops or jams and conventional hikes in moderately difficult terrain. However, the mix of activities we are planning can be challenging for some people. This is why we ask you to take spotters, appropriate gear, fulfil the requirements and have adequate travel insurance. Apart from that we will do everything to keep you safe and sane.
There will also be the option to take a timeout and rest and no one will be asked to do any dangerous things. So no, from a regular acroperson’s viewpoint, AcroVentures are not dangerous.
Some of our hikes are not suitable for children and we move in National Parks which do not allow pets.
Please don’t bring your kids or pets.
We price our trips as low as we possibly can, while still keeping the trip happening.
For people who sign up as a group we can offer a group discount – see below.
Yes, sign up with 6 or more friends and you’ll get the group discount.
This allows you all to pay the early bird prices at any time.
Eligibility depends on whether there is enough space on the trip you want to sign up for.
Right now we don’t but please contact us about being a helper and we will see 🙂
That’s great and we would love to hear from you! Please email Lilli at lilli@acroventures.org.
Or visit our contact page https://acroventures.org/contact/
Yes, please make sure you have adequate travel insurance.
We are always interested in expanding our community.
Please get in touch with us!

Yes, depending on when you cancel we will give you a refund.

For cancellations up to 3 weeks before the trip starts we refund 75% of the price.
For cancellation in the 2 weeks before the trip we can only refund 30% of the price.

Slovenia Trip
By bus:
Bus Station Ljubljana (http://www.ap-ljubljana.si/en/) is right next to the train station and has services throughout Slovenia, as well as to foreign countries.
Direct international connections: Croatian coast, Trieste (2 hours), Venice (4 hours), Banja Luka (5 hours), Bihać (6 hours), Bologna (6 hours), Munich (7 hours), Florence (8 hours), Tuzla (8 hours), Zenica (8 hours), Belgrade (8 hours, including 2 overnight services – EUR 35), Ulm (9 hours), Stuttgart (10 hours), Sarajevo (10 hours, or 12 hours overnight – EUR 41), Niš (12 hours), Karlsruhe (12 hours), Mannheim (13 hours), Frankfurt (14 hours), Skopje (15 hours), Tetovo (16 hours), Sofia (16 hours), Pristina (18 hours), Copenhagen (19 hours), Malmö (20 hours), Gothenburg (24 hours), Linköping (28 hours), Örebro (34 hours), Stockholm (36 hours).
There are incredibly cheap connections with companies such as flixbus https://www.flixbus.de/ or hellö https://www.helloe.com/en/ from Germany and Austria. Search engines like http://www.goeuro.com/ help you find the best offer.
By plane:
Jože Pučnik Airport, commonly referred to as Brnik Airport. From the airport the cheapest way are regular public buses (€4.10, 50 min) and minibuses (€9, 30 min, available also on demand) to the main Ljubljana bus and train stations, located next to each other in the city centre; tickets are bought from the driver, detailed timetables and contacts can be found here (http://www.lju-airport.si/en/passengers-and-visitors/getting-here/bus/). Alternatively, a metered taxi from the airport to the centre will cost €30-40. Cheaper options are city taxi companies such as Airtrail that offer a fixed price of 25 Euro to Ljubljana downtown, but must be prebooked at +386 41 281 228.
By car:
Renting one or coming with a car is also an option, especially if you are visiting remote destinations outside of Ljubljana and plan to travel around the area. During the AcroVenture you will not need your own car. Please let us know if you bring your own car.
You can also check the message board behind your AcroVentures login for ride shares or travel mates.
Check the “My Group” tab in your profile.
We don’t make individual travel arrangements but have summarised how to get to Ljubljana in the previous question.
There are several Airbnb places in Ljubljana and a very helpful acro community that you could reach out to on facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/167541533299769/
Apart from nailing the prerequisites (if applicable) you will need everything on the trip’s specific packing list.
OR if you have already applied for a trip you can find a comprehensive packing list attached to your confirmation email.
You are expected to bring everything from the essentials list.
It is up to you if you like to bring anything from the optional extras lists.
Most nights we will be staying in our tents (everyone is bringing their own tent) on campgrounds with nice toilets and hot showers. On the intermediate trip one night will be spent on top of a mountain in a dorm.
In the spirit of adventure and community, we keep camping together during the trip. Ask us for tricks that can turn your tent into a tiny, super-comfy sleeping bubble.
You will receive a detailed itinerary about two weeks before the trip, at the latest.
Please see the detailed itinerary we email you. For directions see elsewhere in this FAQ section.
Please get in touch with us via email or telephone if you can’t make it so that we can figure out a solution.
We travel together from Ljubljana into the mountains, everyone should be there on the morning of the first day. 😉
Included is all food, accommodation, the workshops and non-alcoholic drinks.
Temperatures range from 5° at night to up to 28° on a sunny day. We found a wooly hat is nice to have in the evenings up in the mountains.
We will have a camp van to carry our tents and luggage when we travel but we carry our own daypacks on the hikes – depending on the day, these may contain snacks, water, lunch, towel.
Intermediate trip only: On our 2 day hike to the mountain hut you will also need to carry your own sleeping bag and change of clothes, etc, as necessary.
We will have vegetarian food while making sure that there is enough protein. Lunch will be cold, as we take it along on the hikes. We will have a warm cooked dinner every day. Please let us know if you have any allergies or other dietary needs.
There will be a lot of food, you won’t go hungry.
There will be tea and coffee for breakfast and fresh, clean water from the river. Beer and wine is available (we will have some along in our transport van) but is not included in the price unless we feel generous, which we sometimes do 🙂
Probably but we don’t know them yet.
Check out last year’s events, maybe you can find out more:
SUN, SEA & WATERFALL ACRO FESTIVAL
Skradin, Croatia, July 7th to 14th, 2018 (http://acrocalendar.com/event/sun-sea-waterfall-acro-festival/)
Acroatia usually in late July (http://acroatia.org/)
Slovenian Acrobatics Convention (SAFE) should be in September.
You can also check the acrocalendar for events http://www.acrodicted.com/acrocalender.
There are many many other beautiful things to see and do in Slovenia, as we are only moving in a small area of this stunning country. There are caves, lots of other lakes and hikes, Italy and Austria and the beaches of Croatia are only a stone’s throw away. The Slovenian Tourism page is a good starting point if you want to further explore the area. http://www.slovenia.si/visit/ Sportswise you can do pretty much any outdoor sport such as rock climbing and bouldering, rafting, kayaking and mountain biking. There are stables for horse riding or you can go on a sailing trip in Croatia if that tickles your fancy!
Also consider Acroatia (Acroatia http://acroatia.org/)
If you feel like yoga and hiking and outddor activities while seeing more of this area, check out Adzentures http://adzenturesyoga.com/alpineretreat/)
